What intake manifold is this?!

What intake manifold is this?!

GM part number 10108630. I was told it was a stock manifold, but it appears otherwise....

Stock ports are supposed to be 1.058" high x 1.158" wide x 2.050" tall. The ports on this manifold are 1.281" high at the bottom AND top (symmetrical), and 2.093 tall.

I have started hand polishing it for my heads/cam swap, but now I'm a little concerned. Any clue?

Hey Sean...

I haven't checked yet. I'm picking up a spare set sometime next week...I'm awfully curious though.

That's actually what I was thinking.

I was also thinking that as well, but the part number on the LT4 manifold is 12550630. Mine is 10108630. Odd...

Yeah...she's getting some goodies. I'm sick of this bolt-on crap. Should be done around February...and she'll be NASTY.

If it isn't going to match with my LT1 heads...I'm going to have to melt it down and make something out of it I guess...maybe a nice set of bookends.

That, or you could find some heads to match up!!!!

What's your setup going to be, cam and all that?? I'm getting ready to swap some 1.7 rockers onto my 224/230 car hopefully within the next month. I just had to order an opti today to hopefully fix my problem.

Yea, there are two common port styles of LT-1 intake manifolds....One with more of a tapered smaller port entry... and the other, which is considered to be slightly more desirable (in stock form) that has MUCH more open rectangular ports......after full porting by someone like Lloyd Elliott , they end up the same(port potential wise)....It's just the type with the smaller more tapered ports just takes more aluminum removal to get it where it needs to be.....(For example: On the larger port manifold, Lloyd usually removes "about" 2 LBS of material for his full LT-1 manifold port.....and on the smaller tapered port intake, it's closer to 3 LBS of material removal...............Joe
