After tearing stuff apart on my car the last 2 days, I notcie that my car does not have parts 577-581. All I have is a small plug in the front below my TB.

Nope, no filter. I assume you mean the elbow on the pasenger side? I have been meaning to but just forget/lazyness.
Nope, couldn't get the springs done. The tools I got from Vato Zone and Chevkers both were hoirrible. I need to try the Moroso or Snap-On one. I heard both are really good. Probally better, since they would have more than likely killed my stock lifters down the road. I will just wait untill I get some Comp R lifters or at least some new OEM ones.
Re: What the hell? Shoebox!
I used the Checker tool for my LS1 dual coil beehives and it worked perfectly. I have use all variants of spring compressor tools and have never not been able to get the spring compressed. What problem are you having with the compressor? You really have to turn the **** out of the compressor to compress the springs all the way.

Well I just found out that I might have been given the wrong part number by the seller for the retainers, which would be why I couln't get the locks in. We shall know soon.
Because yours is a 1994-not the 95-97 in the diagram.

Sean, probably have 10* retainers and 7* locks or vice versa.
