What headers should I get?

I just bought a stock 1997 Camaro Z28. I got Borla exhaust so far for it and now want to get headers.

Which ones should I get?

If emissions aren't a problem, go for some Jet Hot LT's

There are so many options here: Longtubes, Mid-lengths, shorties, coated, uncoated, and prices can range from $450 up to $1300. I opted for the long tubes because they make the most power on a stock motor, and will work even better with future engine mods. However, I kept all the emissions hook-ups(including cats) so I can pass the sniffer test here in NJ. Whats your car inspection situation where you live?

See, techically there are laws in place that say you arent legally allowed to move your cat(s) from the stock locations. Enforcement of this law varies from state to state. People that want to abide by this law should get shorty headers, since they keep the cats in the stock location.

I'm kinda partial to my MAC mid-length headers. I still have all emissions hooked up, and I can still bolt a cat in the original location.

Searches will net you alot of comments and opinions I am also looking for new headers, so I did some searches and found alot on good info. First you must determine Midlength or Longtubes, after that its easier. And consider all types, don't just jump to LT's at first.
