what goes in this hole?

what goes in this hole?
I went to put coolant in and it started running out of a hole in the block just rear of the passenger side motor mount. its off of a 94 lt1

close to the oil pan? Up midway on the block? Large hole about 1 1/4" or so? Even a crappy cell phone pic would help.

its close to the oil pan its about 3/8" im guessing its some sort of sensor b/c i noticed a wire hanging in that area with no home so far

that looks about right, would coolant come out of it if it wasnt in? if so then thats definately it.

Yes, the knock sensor is also a block drain.
