just picked up a 97 z28... 6 speed...how can i tell what gears i have in rear end.?

 

You have 3.42s

Edit: Yeah the previous owner could have changed them, raise the rear end, spin the tire once and count the revolutions of the DS. DS will spin 3.42 times if you have 3.42s 4.1 times for 4.10s and so on.

 

The six speed cars came stock with a 3.42 rear end. But they could have been changeed out for something by a previous owner though.

pics....sure.... http://www.rit.edu/~kms1601/ just go there and look at the camaro pics....not too good and car is dirty...but she is my project car. front end,airbags, and windshield are all that need work.....just got her yesterday for 3 grand
