10.4:1 or 10.1:1 I've heard both. Trying to get it right.

 

I always thought around 10.5:1 or so. Maybe it is 10.4:1 then.

I looked there, I just wasn't sure if thats correct because I have heard somewhere else, can't remember exactly where, that it was 10.1:1

93-95 f-body factory manuals show 10.5:1. The 1996 manual shows 10.4.

The b-body iron head LT1 is 10.0.

 

in my 93 manual it says 10.5 to 1

 

The technical paper on the LT1 ("New Generation Small Block V8 Engine") that GM presented at the SAE conference in February 1992 shows the SCR as 10.5:1. I've also seen it listed as both 10.5:1 and 10.4:1 in GM literature. It definitely is not 10.1:1.
