I too find humor in what you responded too. What do people do, buy individual sockets, wrenches to accomplish one job. Maybe so, when I was but a lad, I remember such instances. lol

I too find humor in your response to my thread. Welcome to 2003, where you can buy a Craftsman 180 pc. Mechanics Tool Set: 3/8 in. dr. set w/74 sockets (standard/deep), 6 & 12 pt. (SAE/metric), 19 combo wrenches (9 SAE/10 metric), teardrop ratchet, 3 ext. bars, 20 ignition wrenches, 40 hex keys, magnetic spinner w/bits. for $150. If that is too much, you can buy a metric/standard socket set w/ ratchet for ~$25...

Plus I said "go get a socket SET"

I don't know of anyone that would say "I have no tools, I need a 1/2" socket, let me go buy one for $5 when a full socket set can be had for ~$12...

Not a flame, just making a point. And yes, I have my base set of tools, but when I need a special tool for a certain job, I look at how much the individual tool costs, and how much the set costs...and if it's not a whole lot more, I get the set of wrenches/c-clamps/screwdrivers etc. instead of the individual tool.

I sent my heads out in APRIL to get ported, the person ****ed around for 6 mos, then went into a water jacket, and sent me back some stock heads, so now I'm back to square one with 6 months wasted. I'm doing some head research now.

A quick test? Reach back with the engine running and push on the diaphram. The engine should stumble or stall, that means it's working....or get a scan tool.

It's inside the mushroom shaped part of the EGR. If you stick your finger inside the mushroom and push you will feel it move. It's what opens and closes the EGR.
