What engine fluids would cause a flash fire.

My friends 97 z that we just rebuilt the motor and put long tubes has something leaking onto the headers and making fireballs. The underhood is pretty hot and the headers are even ceramic coated but we can see where fluid has been running down near the collector and twice now he has had fireballs come out form under the car? Any ideas?

I have seen flames from oil leaking onto headers. At an autox. It was both exciting and scary

If it were gasoline I would imagine the whole car would have been torched by now.

I think its safe to assume that most fluids would flash at the temperature your headers are at...can you trace down the leak at all? WIpe everything off then run it and check again?
