Angry What else would cause hesitation.

Hesitation/stumble from idle-2000 rpms when the motor gets hot. No problem when its cold or when it gets above 2k.
Already changed opti, coil, coil module, plugs+ wires, pcv valve, fuel filter, and cat. Since it only happens when it gets hot, I was thinking about putting in a 160 degree t-stat to keep the temps down. Does this sound logical. My car will get up to about 240 degrees now. Im just out of ideas on how to solve this problem.

I know I'm not the only one with this problem. There has to be someone who has solved this mystery. Or at least, someone with an idea. Please help, this is driving me crazy!!

Maybe the egr valve or the O2 sensors.

The o2's are new, would the egr need to be changed, or just cleaned? What would be wrong with it to cause problems?

EGR Valve

Where is the egr located and how would you clean it?

Try cleaning the PCM ground.

You have to take the stud out of the body and clean it really well.

How doe ones go about this, getting it out of the body. I have seen you post this idea in many idle/hesitation threads. I have tried changing o2's map tps iat cleaned my tb & iac & maf and still have this God forsaken problem. I was gonna look into a coil swap but before I spend more $$$ I weant to try your idea. I know the stud you are reffering to, but I wonder how to gret it out of the fender.

Thanks for your help...

The egr valve is located on the driver’s side rear of the intake manifold. It is a black round object that has one vacuum lone coming out of the top. You can clean it by taking it off and spraying it down with carb cleaner. But that wont help if the diaphragm is shot. hth
