I recently did a water pump replacement. Since my car had the original opti w/94k on it, i figured i would just replace it since i had the pump off anyways, even though the opti ran fine. And i figured i would get coolant all over the opti when i replaced the water pump.

Installation went fine, the opti was aligned right, but now i get the dreaded hesitation. My car did not hesitate with the old opti, but it does with a brand new one.

So i figured i got a bad opti. Put in another one, and i get the same hesitation. I plan to check the remaining parts of the ignition. What else should i check other then

Plugs
Wires
Coil

 

Check your fuel pressure.
