What else do I need with the cc306?
You will need to upgrade just about everything else such as stiffer springs, better retainers, good lifters, hardened pushrods w/guideplates to best handle the 6500 or so shiftpoints. I don't know the lift with 1.5 rockers, but 1.6's will compliment the cam well.
Oh, you MUST get your heads ported to take full advantage of this cam, otherwise it won't make near the power it should. A good stage II type port job will be best. You'll have a strong running beast once this is done. Make sure you get the pcm tuned by Bryan, as a stock pcm will freak out with a cam this size. good luck

Oh one more thing, stick with comp cams for the other valvetrain parts. If you're not sure on what to get, give them a call. Other than springs it's pretty straightforward in matching up the valvetrain with the cam.

You dont need to port the heads, plenty of people are making lots of power with stock heads. When I did the CC306 I kept the stock lifters but got Crane 10308-1 springs/retainers, Comp pro mag 1.6 rockers, Comp Chromemoly pushrods, and a AFR hydra rev kit.
