With your mods you should be running better than a 13.9, no offense. Is your car tuned up and running right, any misses or anything? With your mods I'd think you would be running in the lower 13's. 2:73's or 3:23's? If you have 2:73's some better gears would probably help you some.

Yeah I would definately think you should be running better than a 13.9

Is your car throwing any codes? See if any of your plug wires are arching, or see if theyre burnt. I assume you have the wires in the stock location? You might want to think about going to OTVC wires if they are burned. There is a otvc gp going on right now you might want to try and get in it

that 13.9 run has been made a long time ago, im gonna go back to the track 1 more time this year. Since the 13.9 run i added the fipk, the madz28 chip, wires, and the plugs, and it is a 3.23 car, im gonna install a cc305 cam this winter and see how much that wakes it up

Umm, yea that will wake it up a bunch, lol. With those mods you should be able to atleast hang with an LS1. With my mods listed below, I spank stock LS1s consistenetly. But racing from 80mph in an A4 is not the best idea. Your car will most likely not allow you to rev it as high as say I can rev my M6. It may take me longer to downshift my M6, but I can hold out for longer. Try to race from a stop and see where you stand. If you ask me 0-80 matters more than 80-110, and with the BFG DR's you should be able to show him how a real Z gets to 80

I wouldnt try running an ls1 from 80 mph unless you have much more power than that. If you beat an ls1 its going to be in the first 60 feet. Maybe its the way my car is setup but i will always start out ahead of an ls1 and just pray he doesnt catch up with me. If i dont have much of a lead at 1/8 mile then there is a big chance that he will catch me by the end of the race. When i first started spraying, i raced against my friend in his 2001 corvette with intake and exaust. I won the race but even with my 100 shot of nitrous he was pulling on me a little bit at the end of the race. Thats my experience with ls1's anyway.
