Alright i have wheels off an 01 trans am on my car. They fit on the front but the back ones were tight....so me being a retard i put them on with an air gun instead of sanding them down like everyone else does. I did not know of this problem until now and now i got my ET streets so i'm tryin to put them on and i can't get my wheels off. So what do i do when the stud is spinning and the lugnut is not. I know the stud is spinning because we put a dot on the stud and lugnut and the air gun is moving but the stud and lugnut stay lined up with the dots. How do i fix this? I hope i explained this right.

 

One of 2 things may have happened. You either striped the part that the stud presses into, so now it has nothing to grip. OR you some striped the actual stud in that area to the point thats its smooth and doesnt have any of the little grip teeth anymore.

Does it move in and out?? If you have room to be able to cut behind the lugnut you may be in luck,and just need to find someone with a wheel cutter.

 

It doesn't move at all....actually i only got three lugs to move between the two rears I'm going to try like hell tomorrow to get them all off

 

take it to a shop to have it fixed. I was working on a honda at work with the same problem. Sent him to brake masters(so i dont know what exactly was done), came back 35 minutes later with it fixed, and ready to have the new tire installed
