What to do What to do..... Just bought LT1

I just bought a 97 Camaro Z28 6spd, just wondering what i should do before i drive it alot

so far i'm thinking

CAGS
all synthetic oils
ignition tune up
SFCs

just wondering if there is anything else that should be done on these cars.

thanks

How many miles are on it and how does it run? If it's got higher miles (>75K) a good tune up for the LT1 would be to change:

Plugs
Wires
Front 2 - O2 sensors
Fuel Filter

If the car is running fine now you shouldn't have to change any of these, if it's got any misses throughout the rpm range or doesn't seem to be running strong these would be a good start for a decent tune up. If you can do them yourself you could do it all for $150 - $200 in parts. Changing all the fluids (engine/trans/rear) would be a good idea as well with conventional oil or a switch to synthetics.

Cool

I would have all the fluids changed according to the owners manual.
Second,I would have the car scaned by a dealer for any problems that they can find.
third,I would enjoy the car,and learn how it handles.
Once you get a handle on how the car reacts ,then slowly you can start modify the car.
Be careful with what you read on how to get more power out of this car,as alot of aftermarket stuff, well, lets just say is questionable.
I would first modify the car with a cold air intake
Next would be a high flow cat
Next,a high flow muffler(cat backs are a joke)$$$=Just make sure the intermediate pipe is 3" or so.
Next,get some good tires.
Hope this helps. No flames ment here.Just tryin to help out.My02

After all normal maint. - tuneup and fluids etc.
I would say:
1.!cags - its just annoying
2. CAI- either an aftermarket or make your own
3. Catback - anything to get the exhaust flowing better.
3a. Cutout - You could skip the catback and just go with the cutout.
4. Short throw Shifter - It feels so much better
5. SFC's - big improvement!
