what do u think of driveshaft loops??

what do u think of driveshaft loops??

I'm gonna be running 12.5's or better this year and a friend of mine brought up a really good point..i should be installing a ds loop. What do u guys think of them? Is it a worth while piece to throw on? At what rwhp/e.t should someone be thinking about getting one?

Yes, worth it in my opinon. Cause save you from trashing everthing the trans tunnel in the event it does happen. So i would say, yes very much.. Better safe then sorry..

Street tires probalby don't need them, especially if your car has a steel shaft. Sticky tires, yes.

Want to pogo-vault your car end over end down the strip if the front u-joint lets go? Driveshafts can do alot of damage when they get loose on either end. They can come through the floorpan and destroy the interior including you/passengers. So for $50 or so bucks, why risk it? I had a hoop on mine before going to the strip the first time and running in the low 14s.

They're not expensive for the safety value, really easy to put on, and chicks dig it when ya tell 'em you're running a 'hoop. OK, maybe I'm BSing a little on the last one . . .

It is mandatory for cars running 10.99 and quicker to have one.
