what do get for a dipstick tube??

It fits like a glove now, no worries. The main issue I had with mine is that I'm running a rare set of Borla stainless headers and the #1 primary on the passenger's side wraps up and over the #3 and #5 primaries and down in between the #5 and #7 primaries, so I had a tight squeeze to fit the dipstick through and get the arm on the sheath clocked just right so that it wasn't cocked too far toward the firewall. After looking at and comparing how my headers are configured vs. the Pacesetters Mr. Firebirdstud has indicated he has, the dipstick oughtta be much easier to set up with the Pacesetters.

will the heat from the primaries discolor the nice look of the lokar or not?

That explains it.

Firebird, it won't discolor at all.
