I would do it all at once, do the heads and get a custom cam....If you can hold out and get the darts get them, and have them worked.

For now I would say do a cam only car....and work your way up.

Most people will probly say I'm full of crap, but out of those cams I don't see one really being a whole lot better than another....They will all perform fairly well( making power) the rest of the car will be up to you.

I ran a hotcam for a while and was very pleased with it

ive been really looking at the 466, and the 60121, out of those two, which do you think would be best? Ive always been a fan of lunati's stuff for SBCs, but i rarely see anybody run them on LT1's

I'm the wrong one to ask, I don't know much about cams

I like the CC304 better than the CC503 I had. It has a thick midrange powerband that is perfect for a daily driver. Idles great and has no cam surge.

yeah, im just looking for something fun on the street, but also a decent performer at the track. Hell, i'll even spray it later on to get into low 11's.

114mph in a daily driver car wont get you 11.60.

AI is working on a CNC program for the Darts.

Like I said you can run 11.60 cam only if YOU are experianced enough to wring the car out and compromise the daily driver enough. This is not a realistic goal for a true driver though especially not with an inexperianced wrench.

alright then. Im not entirely sure what my car weighs, its been weighed before and was around 3380 w/o me in it, so....3600 w/ me in it. What would 114 put me around, and are any of the cams capable of it?

And 11's with an auto as long as all the proper drivetrain components are considered.
My vote is for the 211/219.

ive thought about that, or the 219/219 as well, but i dont see as many people using them.

edit: now i know why i stopped considering it - $340 compared to $260 for one of the others, plus i can get discounts on the tohers

there was a thread about 8 weeks ago of a cam only 94z that made 359/349to the tires. Is was a AI custom 234/242 or something, i would look into a custom cam with your goals. Get one from bret or somebody around here, they wont steer you wrong.

I agree with SS RRR. 114mph finally got me into the high 11s with some decent air. 60 degress and a DA of about 600. As the sig says, 222/226 Joe o. cam, spec'd to pass emissions if I had to. The only advice I can give, is don't over do it on the cam, if you want a fun DD.

see, we normally have pretty low DA here which helps a lot. I probably will talk to bret and just get a custom ground.

What kinda power does a f-body need to trap 114mph?
