What constitutes abuse? and how long will the LT1 last?

all the time, im raggin on her.. she has taken it so far... 120k on the clock... we'll see how everything looks when i pull apart the top end soon...

i think as long as you stay good on your oil changes and whatnot, you shud be gud.. my buddy has a blazer that he beats on, but he didnt get the oil changed for like 6+ months, now he's got a spun bearing..

p.s. you driver her hard, and break stuff... gives you a reason to buy more go-fast goodies..

I'm not driving mine hard, I gotta make 'er last till I'm 25 (about 2.5 years) before I get something else.

I would say I drive mine average. I would say I hit higher than 5000 rpm probably a few times per week. Greater than 6k maybe 2 times per week on average. But I take it to 4500 every time I drive it at least a couple times. This past weekend it was above 6200 rpm about 20 times

I think if you maintain it really well, it will be a strong running engine for a long time.
