Hey shoebox,
Wouldn't all Camaros have the hookup for the Auto gear selector light. I really think thats what it is... I mean what else could it be?

I believe he has 3 wires. I don't believe that that is the exact same connector, but, generally may serve the same purpose. PLAYA

Edit: I look back on that last post and think to my self..."Self, what happened to the practice of common english grammar?" Does every sentence end with an exclamation point? Do capital letters belong at the beginning of sentences? I must be getting old. Funny thing is I'm 20.

The gear selector light has a socket and a bulb on it.

I've been all over the wiring diagrams and can't seem to find it. That one in InjectedSS's pic is not it, since he has more and different colored wires to it.

Well, if they use a standard wire harness for M6's and Autos, then there would be an extra connector there for this light. I don't see why they would put a socket and bulb there if we (m6's) don't need a light there. They would just terminate it with a connector. I just can't seem to imagine it being anything else. I've been scouting the diagram's as well... I really don't want to go digging in my car to find it (no offense "thewinner") But it is Saturday and I don't have whole lot to do, so.....it may...happen. But don't hold me to that

What about the shift solenoid? The one that releases when you put your foot on the brake so you can take it out of park?

That's the BTSI (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock), that I already mentioned.

Don't hate the PLAYA, hate the game.... It was in good fun, but you went and made a bigger *** out of yourself. Sorry that a little humor rubbed you the wrong way. But hey its the internet, who the hell cares what people write...right? I know I heard that somewhere......
