3 wires, tan, brown/white, black white

looks like it goes up into the dash with the wire bundle on the top right side of the shifter, and comes out at the top left corner.

No way I can memorize who has what kind of car with the amount of posts I read.
Camaro? Firebird? A4? M6? What year?
Why not make a short sig that identifies your car?

Heh, well it would be a little more helpful if I knew those colors were correct.

And it's a 3 wire connector? Does it break out of the harness ahead of the shifter or behind it?

I have no clue what this thing goes to?
you've got to be kidding right.

Did you accidentally pull it off or is something not working. If nothings wrong, don't worry about it. There are countless dead end wires in our cars.

There is one connector that is the additional power that can be tapped from the console,(as mentioned in the owners manual) if you stretch out the harness, in some cars. It could also be part of the power top for a convertable you dont have, but ir i recall correctly the power top harness is a 6 connector. I have the black brown wire thing as well, and i belive its the power line.
