Exclamation What are the chances to suck water through a CAI?! ---

Are the throttle bodies strong enough to suck water from the K&N CAI I have in my fender!? I went through a big puddle today driving home, then my SES light was flashing. It could have been a wet opti , it stopped flashing after I pulled to the side and let it idle for 5 min. If I did get water in the intake, what damage should I expect if any ( fouled plugs? ) .... thanks ---

It could be bad, but if you drove home no noises or sound you can rest assured your ok.

you are probable fine, i got the k&n on mine, and i have not underguards, they were all ripped off from botteming out when my z was lowered. After driving in the rain, i have felt my intake and it was wet, but i have never seen a decrease in performacne, gas mileage, or anything so in my opinion i would thinkg they don't have enought power to suck water up unless you fully soak your intake in water.

If your car did not shut off then you did not suck up any water, atleast not enough to do anything to the car.

I hydrolocked my car once, so I thought, with my SLP CAI going through a puddle. Towed the car home, the car shut off and would not start back up, pulled the plugs the next day (pulled #8 first and got drenched with nasty water) and cranked the motor over with no plugs in it to get out all the water I could. Put new plugs back in and the car started right up.

Oh yeah, and I changed the oil while the plugs were out of the car.
