What cat convertor to buy to pass emmisions?
Well looks like im going to just replace the cat now and the 02 sensors to pass NJ emmisions. My stock cat is trash. What did you guys go with to pass emmisions? Thanks

Forget the hi-flow ones, to pass emissions, the Brown or Walker OEM type cats are as close to OEM as you can get. I kept the original one for emissions and run the Hi-flow one the rest of the time.
For Example I failed 2 times with my Random cat with 3000 miles, then put the OEM one with 17,000 miles on there and passed with 20X better CO, 10X better HC and 2X better NOX. Had a owner of an emissions shop tell me that the aftermarket & high performance cats skimp on the Rhodium, Platinum, & Palladium - all precious metals - that scrub the emissions.
The goofy aftermarket cats only warantee 2 years (about one emissions cycle). I had mine replaced, and the replacement crumbled apart after a year. Now it's an empty shell.
Anyway, some guys pass with them, but it wasn't in the cards for me.

No doubt the stock cats scrub the best but you won't like their price. I'm running a Carsound cat and have passed smog testing for years here in CA. I'm running 10# Vortech with ports heads, 218/230/114 Comp Cams, 1.6 RR's, etc.
