what can cause my knock?

I autotapped the car today, and i picked up 7 degress of knock at max... it would fluctuate between mid 4s to 7.0

i'm running on 93 octane, and my cam has a tune from ion...

what would cause the knock?

i thought it was false knock, but i capped my exhaust (closed the cutout) and still got the knock (it was actually worse)

what can this be from?

If you have headers, they could be the cause. Also a noisy valvetrain like aftermarket rockers and such could also cause false knock. Do you have a stock knock sensor, or an LT4 one? If you still have the stock one, I'd reccommend you pick up the LT4 version which is less sensitive.

When i dynoed i showed a max of 9. something degrees of spark retard.. Mine was because of an exhaust leak.. It should be all fixed now. I hope..

If you've been running rich, your plugs could be fouled, which I've seen can cause pre-ignition.

When I changed my plugs after getting knock on nitrous, the knock went away. The old plugs were fouled.
