Mine is a 260+@50 with 708-715 lift on a 112 and has a measured 11 in of vacuum. The brakes and air work fine. The only brake problem is if you inch up in traffic and repeatably hit the brakes.I put a vacuum can on and no problem since.
Not a bad choice Allen made, but a bit conservative.

1racerdude is right. Slow motors are called "nitrous motors." The have the same forged components as their N/A counterparts, but lack one thing.... horsepower..

If the end justifies the means, who cares?

I know its pointless, but who out there has a N/A 383 with their stock heads? what sort of numbers did you lay down?

If it were my car it would be N/A,customers ask for things I build them. Its a nitrous motor in the sense the car was tuned with a simple mail order tune that runs his stock injectors maxed out all the time, and on motor the car is fat as hell and runs a whopping mid 12...on nitrous a simple small shot the car starts to lean out creating more hp...So I would say it is set up to run on nitrous bc it dogs on motor and it might not be the fastest thing on nitrous either, but its just a little shot it could go a lot faster...

I dont like nitrous much if I had to pick a power adder it would be blown like my Blown 57 Chevy...

There's really no need to make a motor run rich like that all the time. If you want nitrous, add a wet kit and let the nozzles add the fuel instead of the injectors. The only way you'd need to tune big injectors on a motor in my opinion is with a blown motor. Why sacrifice drivability with huge injectors on a car that rarely sees nitrous being thrown at it. It's not like you need to drive to the store to get a gallon of milk and hit the button in the parking lot.

With stock ported heads? What a way to beat on the valve train for no reason.
