well if they are judged with a 1.5 rocker ratio divide the lift number by 1.5 then multiply it by 1.6 or whatever rockers you have!

Lobe lift * 1.6 = Lift with 1.6 rockers.

That cam is fu*king gay. There's no way I'd EVER put a 218/224 in a N/A 383.

IMO, I'd do more like a (more streetable) 23x/24x HR @ .050 or maybe even a (less streetable) 24x/25x @ .050 HR on a 110 LSA for an N/A application.

Re: What Cam with NA 383?

so this cam would be .528/536 with 1.6rrs? That seems really small.
Surely my calc must be wrong.

Edit. I thought that may be too small.

Kraest. We met in New Orleans about 4 to 5 years ago at Lake Ponchatrain (sp?) good times.
Thanks for the advise guys.

Just looking for a good combo to work well together....

No, that's exactly right.

Like I said. That's a ***** cam I wouldn't put that sh*t in a N/A 350, let alone a 383. I'd probably put it in a daily driver truck or something.

Fairly close to my cam, and yet with a tune it's surprisingly streetable.

Oh, definetly, bro. My cam in my 396 was a 240/240 112 @ .560 with 1.5s (I had 1.65s and 1.6s) and was plenty streetable... although when you blew the tires off the rims from a 55 mph roll, the car WOKE THE MOTHERFU*K UP and scared the diarrhea out of you.

Those AI heads + 383 + a big *** nasty cam must make you get a boner.

This info is for another car, but my Z28 has the GM847, so I'd like to go bigger than that.

Get your heads flowed. Throwing a big cam at an unknown is a waste of time and money IMO.

That cam is in a mild 383 that is very untuned and goes mid to high 11's in a 95 6 speed car..

Re: What Cam with NA 383?

That same cam in a 355 lt1 was going mid 11's on a 150 shot with a simple mail order tune and a stock fuel system..

Stock crank and rods KB Hyper pistons, that cam mildly ported heads full bolt ons A4 little stall...So tell me again how that cam sucks?
