What brand and where do I get from?
ok I need some forged pistons,a 3.75 or 3.875 crank, connecting rods, a good cam, hydrolic roller lifters, and forged rods. I need to know what brands are good so I don't buy junk, and possibly their website so I can check them out. thx
It would appear that you have not given enough thought to the build process. Before you can pick out which pistons you need, you need to decide on the CR and rod length. And before you can do that, you need to know the volume of the cylinder head chamber. It would also be nice to have a power goal in mind before you do anything. There's nothing worse than buying a hole bunch of stuff that either doesn't work well together or doesn't work at all.
Your best bet is to purchase a pre-balanced rotating assembly. Complete with everything you're looking for with the exception of the cam. The folks you purchase the assembly from can tell you more about the cam specs you can use.
The folks at TPIS, or Doug Herbert can help with parts. I also believe either Scat or Eagle offers kits as well. there are litterally hundreds of folks you can talk to about your goal.
I would suggest if you haven't already set a goal for your budget, that you do so. I did the same thing you intend to do and now I have a 1/2 finished engine that I can't afford to finish.

Eagle and Compstar offer pre-balanced kits.

Depending on which way you want to balance it, components bought seperately may not be able to be balanced. The worst nightmare is trying to balance them internally. Some cranks can't be done internally. Others require so much Mallory it isn't worth the machinist's time. If you get the right crank, it could only require removing metal to balance it.
The point being, if you get the right kit, it's already done for you. And yes Eagle (one of many Mfrs) makes pre balanced kits.
