What works for you guys ? I was considering the LT1 to LT4 w/HOT CAM and a few people have told me that the LT1 to 4 sucks but the HOT CAM is worth it. What is the best performing complete cam and head setup for a street car? Under 3200$ ... Also for now I'd be sticking with the stock bottom end. Whats the best setup for use on the stock bottom? I dont want to have to worry whether the bottom will last or not when i get on it at a light... . I'll keep the stock bottom untill probably about a year , maybe year and a half from now when I will have enough to buy Eagle rods and JE coated pitsons ... and probly switch to 4 bolt mains at that time too.

 

Also, it doesnt matter if the idle is lopey... Just as long as the car is fairly streetable and I wont need anything higher octane then premium. Also its not going to be my everyday car. I have a Blazer too beat on too ... Ill probly only put on about 8k a year.

 

Well, heck yea, it's hard to find a heads cam combo that works as well as the tried and true LT4 Hot. A plus is that many of the pcm tuners have lots of experience with it.
