What am I missing? Hooker LT Install

I have these parts for my Hooker LT and Mufflex Y install...I just need some help with the other ones.

Coated Hooker LT's - no emissions w/02 bungs
Mufflex Y Pipe - w/02 Bungs -Plugged
Felpro Gaskets - 2 Collectors - 2 Header
Blisten Header Bolts 1 inch Stainless
4 in to 3 in reducer
3 inch catco cat
One welder by profession and mig welder
One dealership hook-up with lift

What I am not sure about:

O2 extension length?
Replace O2 sensors?
How long does is typically take to get stock crap out and how long to get the headers in?

I plan on having the old crap out and rolling the car to the dealership very near the next morning and then just getting the headers in and drive to the welder to get it peiced together. I have 6 hours at the dealership on Sat and 4 hours on weeknights.

Thanks

O2 extension length
I made my own and made them about 24 inches although they could have been a bit shorter.
New O2 sensors?
I say yes they are kinda pricey but they make a world of difference.
How long on the install?
Hmmm........thats a tough one, how mechanically inclined are you? It took me a solid week to install my Hooker LTs and I had the tranny out while I did it, it was just me doing it though and I only worked on the car about 3 to 4 hours a day.
Relocating all the stuff so the headers would not burn it up took the longest.

You'll need a block off plate for the right rear side of the intake manifold to cover the hole that will be left after you remove the exhaust manifold which has a flex pipe attached to it that leads to the back of the intake.

I would also recommend OTVC wires and plugs while you are in there.

OK, EGR block offs, forgot those, I need one or two? I think TPIS sells them...

24" Extensions...check.

New O2's I might have to put off since this project has already been quite pricey.

I have MSD 8.5mm's but I dont think they'd fit in a OTVC kit...any one know? Can they be tucked under like they are now?

I have new plugs too....Autolites.

Thanks guys, anything else? What about the air pump, I dont need a plate for removal of that do I?

EGR, what I did was buy a block off plate for the EGR valve and I took the plate with the metal hose in it and took the metal hose out and put a solid high temp gasket behind it so it blocks it off as well.
I have MSD 8.5s as well but they are mounted in basically the stock locations, some creative routing is all I had to do. Alot of people can,t seem to get it to work and go OVC but I have over 10k on mine since the LT install and have never burnt a wire, routing is the key.
Air pump is simple just remove it and the tubing (you will have to cut the tubing out with a dremel ) leave the fuse in and it should be good to go.

Here's a link to an earlier thread posted regarding Hooker LT installation, but it sounds like you have a good many things figured out.

You should only need 12" extensions probably. That's all I needed.

Good luck!

Question

sszapper (or anyone else who this question appliest to)- Do you have over valve cover plug wire looms? If so, which model are they and did you need to get longer than stock wires to accomodate the necessary routing? Thanks.

I purchased the OVTC wires on thunderracing.com Part number is WIREPKG. I went with the top mount looms and there was more than enough to route them. I haven't had a problem with them at all. Some people get the fire sleeves for additional insurance, but i didn't need them.

Hey, thanks a lot sszapper!
I got my headers through Thunder Racing, so I'm familiar with them. That looks like a pretty nice package, now I just have to figure out which style I should go with.
Thanks again, WrathGrape
