What am I doing wrong? Finding Zero lash(rocker arm keeps coming loose)

Ok, same old problem I was having. My rocker arm nut keeps loosing up, so I got a new one, put it on there, and it was fine for 2 days, then i started the car today and it starts clicking. Put a second nut on there(2 on one stud)...let it sit, started it and it was clicking real bad again.

Am I finding Zero lash wrong?

I turn on the car(when its cold) tighten till i no longer hear clicking, and then do 1/2 turn more. Do I need to let the car warm up to 180 degrees or something? I didnt think I did, but would this cause my problem? If Im doing this right, then i guess i need to get a new rocker arm stud on there. Jes wanna make sure im doing this part right before I put on a new stud.

You could have a weak or collapsed lifter.
