What is the best shop for T-56 tranny work??

I twisted my output shaft and I need to have it replaced and i would like to have a few things upgraded also. Where is the best place that you have found out there to take these things to??

Thanks Steve

Well in dallas i got mine done by freakz on ls1.com. He did it for a damn good price and in like 2 days. I got all my sincros and the a new shift fork changed for $400. Dont know how much it would be for an input shaft.

here is a price breakdown from D&D

I called D&D performance and this is what they wanted to do it and the price
$800 for Viper output shaft and machining of the tailshaft housing
$229 for all new syncros
$300 to cryogenically treat all the internals
$49 for new steel shift forks
$250 for labor

$1628 give or take a few total, plus shipping

They will be doing this work on my transmission also not one from them

They rated this tranny at 550 ft pds of tq.

What do you think

Steve

This guy Does em too... I would email those who gave him the a good rating and ask them how long they've had their trannies and how the trannies are holding up.

He said a rebuild with stronger components (not the viper shaft) would cost 800-1200 bucks. He said his rebuild would not exceed $1300 or something like that in his email.
