Wet EGR valve

I just replaced my EGR valve. Finally, for the first time in 2 years I don't have any more warning lights on my dash! Yay.

When I took the old valve out, it had a couple droplets of water on the round piece that goes into the back of the intake. I don't know if that part has a name. Is that normal?

Thanks
Bill

Exhaust gas has three major components - nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water (vapor). When exhaust cools, the water condenses. Its possible you could have found a couple drops in the EGR system. I assume you are talking about the "pintle" that moves in and out of the hole in the back of the EGR valve/manifold to control the flow of exhaust gas.
