Hey AxeGrinder30thZ, It's BL96TA from SCFYB.COM!

I don't think his exhaust is his problem at all. I think he's putting all his money in the wrong place. I don't see $1 worth of susspension work on his car. How do we all expect to run decent times while our tires are smoken up the track? Get your power to the ground!!!! All the hp in the world isn't going to do crap unless you are able to hook, and your stock susspension isn't going to cut it! You have some good mods, and you should be running mid to low 13's with a supporting susspension! Heres a link that will hopefully spur you to stop with the power mods and put more money into susspension! http://www.street-legal.cz28.com/ he has mostly a bolt on LT1 with slight head and cam work. He still retains his stock bottom end and is going 10's! you'll never here him preach to you about bolt on power adders unless you have a 100% upgraded susspension! Good luck.

Hey! What's up man? I dunno...that's just me. I don't have a lot of money flowing so I just have to take it one step at a time. Suspension isn't something I can do until I get most of my small modding done. My job doesn't pay that good and I don't work many hours, so money is a huge problem. I just gotta check for good deals and once I get all my small things out of the way, I have to move on to the BIG stuff...suspension work, cam, heads, etc. Anyways, good to see you here!

I know how you feel! I did the same thing. You and me both are babysteping the modding of our rides. Maybe the exhaust is too much I don't know My way of modding isn't the best. Ive always done over kill because I have always expected to get the mods to support a high flow exhaust and intake. Ive finally gotten to the point where susspension is the only place left to go other then in the motor. Take care and good luck. Always a pleasure talking to a fellow SC member

That track is known to be 2-4 MPH slow due to the hill.

But the 60's are supposed to be good?

oh 97 camaro 007 come over here no wait second thought i'll meet you in crocket just so i can slap you

dude i didnt post this a friend of mine did it when i was logged in.

but since i apperantly already posted i tell you what i think is wrong. 1. you may want to tp the basic maint. on the car new plugs and wires. and so forth. 2. get better tires. 3. go get your car scanned and chek the a/f ratio, timing, see if your throughing codes. there may be something wrong with your car as well. and get some tunning it is a must when you mess with the maf at all. and with longtubes you should get 35 to 40 out of those.

i dont see any reason a 3.8 is not possible stock. but with long tubes you should be in the mid-low 13s.

dont take this the wrong way but it may be your driving but i would say it your tires and some small issues with your car that need to be taken care of.

good luck.

know offence but if you think thats the norm for a lt1 with longtubes. something is wrong with the cars in lufkin. i turn a 13.8 consitanly stock. with long tubes i could have brok into the 13.3 to 13.4 rang easy with just longtubes on a stock car. i personally think that both of you need to look at your cars and see if there are any problems. but if i had a car that ran 13.9s with longtubes and everyone else around is almost a .5 second or more faster with the same mods. i would start looking at my car.

dont take any of this personal but i think something is wrong and just trying to through some constuctive critisism out there.

good luck.

no prob. i didn't even see the post. i know my tires are crap, their good for ****, and i hate them. i want some nitto 555 dr's but i might as well use the ones i've got for now. i dont race it often. second... I have not yet tuned my car for any mods, i havent had the cash to do so yet, i had other bills to pay first but the OBD1 kit is comming soon. I have 8mm spyro pros and new bosch plat. plugs. i feel i should be running close to 13.00's and i dont think im that bad of a driver. i hate my shifter too. its a hunk of crap. stock, not even the hurst. i need to change that. and i need to change some of my suspention stuff as well. with my front ground effect, i dont get the air needed to cool my radiator, i havent got the deflector for the ground effect yet, i drive with my heat on all the time it stays right under 210 most of the time.

i know theirs a lot i still need to do. if i dont buy perf. parts and go with fixing parts and making it run right i can get down there with the power my car makes

i think you answered some of my questions. so heres what i would do if i were you. i would fix the cooling problem because wehn your car heats up it starts retarding timing the hotter it gets its programmed to do that, and with the long tubes i think you need to get lt4 km to gett rid of the timming that retard that your getting from the false knock. i thnk you would be surprised to all the retard your getting with the two combined. and put a 160 stat in the car. get the air flow to the radiator fix. get the obd1 conversion. and have it tuned. get a pro 5.0 shifter.

but first fix the cooling and the and then the lt4 lm to help eliminate most of your false knock and timing retard.

and my god get some real tires

i ran a 13.43 at 104 mph w/ a 2.0 60' on 245/50/16 kumho's at Kilkare in Xenia, Ohio. My mod's at the time were a flowmaster cat back, accel 8mm wires, moroso CIA, 160 stat, Lakewood boxed LCA's, B&M ripper shifter (world of a difference from that truck stock shifter.) and a TS-Performance program. Not many mod's at all.
Another one of his customers has jet-hot lt's running open, 4.10s, and a custom program running 12.80's.
You've got to get the stuff dialed in, the computer won't adjust for the mods by itself. You'll be much happier with it if you got it dialed in, you'll feel more like you spent the cash right.

The guy I'd recommend is Tracey Scott, owns Scott Racing and Performance. He has a pile of programs that he has custom made to fit his customers cars, and he'll more than likely have one already made that will do your car wonders, I'd give him a call, if anything, he'll give you some great advice.

so i should get the

1.) OBD1, it comes with tuning.
2.) 160* stat
3.) LT4 KM
4.) Pro 5.0 shifter
5.) Air deflector for gfx
6.) Nitto 555 DR's

I think that would solve all my problems with my power.

And then i would need to do somthing like

1.) LCA's and relocation brackets.
2.) sub-frame connectors.
and a lot more to stiffin up the ride.

I know a guy localy with a laptop and all that stuff.

would i need to buy lt1 edit?
