went to dyno today...

just got home from the dyno...I have to say im not totaly dissapointed but at the same time not thrilled. I have a 96 TA M6...I have hooker long tubes, 3 inch y pipe NO cats, cutout (open), 4.10 gears, ram air intake cc306 cam, stock intake manafold, stock heads...I pulled a 353.4 RWHP and a 341.6 TQ. I think i need a tune up and maybe some head porting (ehhe) well let me know what u think..should I have more, or am I about right.

thanks
matt

Well its not THAT disappointing, but i thought u would put out some more power considering the mods....then again the car is always problem ridden, so perhaps its not that bad after all.

I'd say those #'s are about right with stock heads. Is that with stock tuning as well, if it is, that's impressive.

1 more thing guys....which gear are u suppose to dyno?? The guy at the dyno was telling us u will get best # in 3rd....Well after doing 2 runs in 3rd the car was only dynoing 320-330!!! Kinda low for a CC306 car We told him u suppose to dyno in 4th and he said we will lose power..just to prove us wrong he let us dyno 1 more time, on the 4th gear pull the car dynoed the 353rwhp..quite a diffrence from a 3rd gear pull....so which gear u suppose to use and why?

4th b/c its a 1/1 ratio for M6's.

I think those numbers are pretty good. After tuning my car pulled rate around 360 rwhp with about the same mods. My runs were on a mustang dyno though.

I think you should be happy with those #'s.Get the heads done and you will have some serious power.

Nice #s. They aren't too shabby for stock heads from what I've seen.
