Well, looks like that clean spark plug means head gasket, NEED BIG HELP!

Like I said in an earlier post, all my plugs looked the same except for number 7, which was clean. Well, I wrote it off as not firing, but I think you guys were right, I think I have a blown head gasket.

I checked my coolant tonight (which should be full) and the over flow is empty and I cant even feel coolant with my finger in the radiator.

So, I am going to get it presure tested tomorrow. If it ends up being a h/g, what are my options.

I know I will need to pull the accesorys, intake manifold, headers and heads, but is that it?

Also, are there any things I can do for cheap to help the car out performance wise while I have it all apart? I have heard of some using Impala h/g's.

I will be doing all this work my self btw, so is it easier to drop the whole thing out the bottom, or bust knuckles from up top?

Just go in from the top. Yes, you can get the impy head gaskets which are good for a few tenths of a point in compression. If you've got some disposable income, now would be a great time to do heads and cam...

Bust knuckles from the top.. even though when u have the assembly out its so much easier to do the heads, its still a pain in the *** to hook all the connections, brake lines, and all the other crap back up..

Basically remove your alternator, intake manifold and headers.... All that takes a whole afternoon or so.. mainly the headers take the longest. then your heads.

If number 7 is steamed clean.. no black or brown on it then yeah very very likely u have a h/g leak.

you can get your heads surfaced, so they willbe super clean and smooth when you put them back on....or just go ahead and get heads and cam package....and some RR 1.6's springs, and some pushrods...
