Shoebox need your help right quick!!
ok i need to know what piece the sending unit is the fuel pump assembly...
My gas guage needle is stuck at full and i really haventhad a chance to make sure my sending unit is out or if the floater valve is stuck in the up position cause of a bunch of corrusion and dirt!!
let me know if you can get a pic of it maybe and how much should this one item cost?
also i have another question about my Ignition switch...i can turn the car on but when turning it off the cylinder gets locked and wont allow me to takethe key out. I have to play with it for awhile till it finally budges to where i can ge the key out of the locked position! is thisthe switch or cylinder?

You really handicap yourself when you call someone out. If anyone else knows the answer, they won't bother to reply.
I don't have any pic detail on the sending unit. The unit is ~$200 wholesale.
I have posted before on how to test to see if the sender is a problem, but here it is:
To help figure out what your fuel gauge problem is, locate the pump electrical connector on the rear of the floor pan under the car (by the fuel filter). It has purple, gray and black wires going to the fuel tank. Unplug the connector. With a meter, read resistance between the black and purple wires going to the tank.
approximate:
88 ohms = full
60 ohms = 3/4
43 ohms = 1/2
26 ohms = 1/4
1 ohm = empty
The readings should correspond to your gauge. If the reading(s) seem accurate to what you have in the tank, the sender is ok. If they don't, the sender or wiring has a problem.
