well heres an idea i came up with....

ive been reading alot on turbos, nitrous, alky injection and all the things to do to help performance... alky injection(or simply water injection) crossed my mind as somethin that would seem pretty easy to do. and i thought about this after i saw the lt1 injection system, they use the windsheild wiper fluid reservoir for the water....couldnt you just disconnect al lthe stuff for the windsheild wiper fluid and put the sprayer somewhere along the intake path and keep from having to buy the whole system? just an idea i thought of and never seen it done before... anyone got some commments or leads to this idea.

The little windshield washer pump doesnt make a lot of pressure and you are squirting into a boosted intake. Also, to work well, the injected fluid needs to be atomized as well as possible and that means squirting at high pressure through tiny nozzles. You're not the first guy to ever come up with this idea but there's a few reasons why it doesn't work very well. When we had carbuereted cars we used to run the winsdhielded squirter tubes into the carb and squirt the stuff in there under hard accelleration just as a way to get the carbon out of the cylinders, so it worked for that purpose. We didn't leave them that way, but it was a trick we used to do once in a while when the cars got all carboned up. We also did the same thing while tuning cars ona dyno with a squirt bottle of water. All the carbon came out the back and then it settled down into a nice smooth idle.

gotcha.... so i mean it could be done. im assuming what you mean is youd just need a higher pressure pump and then you could use most of the windsheild wiper stuff to do the rest?
