My car caught on fire when I had mine done. It was nothing big, he just burned a small hole and it started to leak, and caught on fire, it was out quick and didn't get large, but still scared the bajeebaz out of me. He said it was the return line that got burned, and he cut the bad section out and placed a metal connector that fits inside the line to connect to the ends. I am only afriad that with this smaller plug inside the line, if it'll hurt my performace now.... possibly not enough fuel?

The return line is for fuel that the engine doesn't use, so it won't restrict flow.

I just welded the driver side on 2 sides because i was afraid of blowing my A$$ up. I think it would be almost crazy to weld on the fuel line side unless i coudl come up with a real good way to protect it.

I don't know if you are familiar with an LS1, but their fuel lines run along the driveshaft tunnel and nowhere near the frame support as in our LT1's. The guy welding just wasn't paying attention. And as for you saying the shop is not a highly respected one, if only you knew who it is was it would surprise the sh*t out of you! Trust me, I drove a good distance to go to this shop because they are very well trusted with some of the fastest f-body's in the midwest and I was surprised to see my car on fire!

considering you live in indiana and if it is as respected as you say it s not that hard to figure out where it happened
