Weld draglites, and LT1 brakes? Spacers?

I have a 97 camaro and I am putting 15 by 8 draglites with 5.5 backspacing on it, I have heard of the calipers hitting the wheels, where do they usually hit? I have 1/4 inch spacers will that make everything fit ok? I put them on and they seem to be not hitting with me spinning the wheel by hand but I just want to make sure. Is the fix to the calipers rubbing just spacers?

Thanks

my fix was to grind the cooling fins off the rear calipers. i heard 15x8's barely hit at all, where 15x10's need the grinding/spacers.

i dont trust spacers on the drive axles.

I spun the wheel by hand with the rear jacked up in the car and I dont hear anything but it looks close, I put the 1/4 inch spacers in and it seems fine, where do the wheels hit the cooling fins usually? on the back side of the face or the width part? Sorry if that doesnt make any sense.

where the fins run to the outside edge and somewhat on the top of the caliper.

The brake fins dig into the wheel where the center (the part that bolts to the hub) "rolls" over to become the rim. The "knuckle" part. Spacing them out 1/4" would probably solve the interference problem, but I personally wouldn't run a spacer on a rear wheel, particularly with slicks. I'd much rather grind the caliper fins off, which was necessary with my Pro-Stars.
