After installing my hot cam kit i am getting a ton of knock retard (11 degrees at 2500 rpm). I am thinking it is due to the roller rockers but i am confused. We adjusted them with the car running and valve covers off. The thing ran great and was quiet but after driving about 600 miles they are all noisy again and one is super loud. I have reason to believe this is my knock problem but why???? I don't see how they can get loose with the set screw locks. What could have happened and what should i look for? I don't want to have to be readjusting these things every 1000 miles. (this the second time btw). Any advice is appreciated. I already have an lt4km as well.

 

Any suggestions? Made another observation the other day. The one rockers gets noiser and quieter on occasion. Like after work the other day it was totally quiet then after parking it and driving it later in the night it was noisy again right after startup.

 

Could be they just broke in a little,or possibly your lifters are going bad.Did you change them?

 

I did not change the lifters but they didn't seem to have any problems before. Mabye its time for some new ones.
