I adjusted the rockers on my Dad's Corvette today and for some reason everytime I went to TDC #6 the #2 exhaust valve came up a little bit (~1/4"). Shouldn't it be at the bottom of the cam lobe TDC #6? All the other one's were fine, but only had this issue with one lifter. Went through a few times and did it everytime.

 

Are you saying that valve sits higher than all the others?

 

The lifter just comes up a little. It's not all the way down like all the others are when adjusting them.

 

The pointer on your balancer could be off. I only use the tdc method to get the valves close. You should adjust them with the engine running, its more acurate IMO.

 

Yeah, I thought it was pretty odd that all the other ones were fine though except one.
