Rob,
take a look at this picture. This is what I saw. Can you see any dents on the car? Without knowing there is already one, it's almost impossible to tell.
That's the picture I saw before I bought it. The guy told me the only thing wrong with it was the engine noise and no glass on the driver side mirror.
I had him fax me the title, I ran a carfax. Both were clean. I didn't have time to drive a 350 mile round trip to check out the car so I trusted him on it and sent the deposit.
When I got there, I noticed only the driver side dent because if you see on the picture, it's pretty dark in that driveway.

I asked him about the dent and he said..."hmmm is this really a dent? I thought that's how it's supposed to be. It was there when I bought it." I didn't notice the other dent so I assumed it was just a small hit where the dent was. I gave him a little less than we agreed on and then left. It was a really bad day and I didn't care about anything more at that point. I only noticed the other dent when I got home the 2nd day. (had to leave the car in some God's forgotten town in the middle of nowhere because the trailer that was supposed to meet me half way blew a tire)....

Well, I guess I learned my lesson and I'll know better next time....

I actually bought it to use as a daily driver and also do some experimenting with the 93 ECM/wiring.
I'm not really THAT concerned about all this as long as it won't have any vibrations or shakes or some other screwed up stuff like that. The interior is in pretty good condition, it also has a nice stereo with a couple of huge subs and an amp. Just need to fix a few small things here and there.

I'll send the guy an email tonight asking for an HONEST this time, description. If the car did shake or didn't drive right, I'll probably sell it. If not, I'm putting a '96 LT1 in it this or next week.

from that picture the car looks in mint shape, guy knew what he was doing thats for sure to hook someone in, sadly it was you, my only surprize is how you missed the dents, first thing you should have seen was the body damage, then comes out the red flag, car was hit, only way i would take the car and i hope you did this if he gave you a hell of a deal on the car, hope things work out for you

It probably won't cost TOO much to put it on a frame machine and get the frame lined up... the body work will cost more. Get the frame straight or it won't launch straight or stop straight and it will destroy tires...

Yeah, no way to tell about the car from that pic. Heck, my car had rocker panel damage (superficial) on both sides that I did not even notice for about 2 weeks. It's still there.

I paid $1900 for it. Some gas expenses and other minor things also, but I pretty much brought it home for under $2K.
I KNOW that at least I can get my money back for it, so I'm not worried that much about that.

Here's a few interior pics too:

The 96 engine is $1250. 0 shipping costs. I can drop it in myself and take out the old one. Get about 400-500 from parting out the old one and I'd have a running car with a very low mileage engine for about $2600 or even a little less.... Worth it? I'm trying to decide now.

When my 95 was hit in the rear by a wrx traveling 65+ the whole car buckled...damn bad too, the bumper flew off the car and landed in front the whole back was bucked as well as the front.

What does the spiderwebbing show?
