Weird Click under hood and power loss?

Ok If i go really slow say to the point where im in 2nd or 3rd just a hair above idle, and i start to give it gas it seems really sluggish, like its sucking more air than it can handle, then i hear a "click" and it instantly has more power

Could it possibly be the IAC, because mine was nasty when i took it out last

The car idles fine though.

your complaining becuase your car has no power at 800 rpms

your iac really shouldnt be doing anything if your thottle is open... really just sounds like your bogging the car down.
is it surging at all? the car could be bucking because of the low rpm and high load.

no im not complaining about the car being slow at 800 rpm.

if im cruising at 1500 rpm in 2nd or 3rd you hear the "click" then the power drops off.

if i remeber correctly the air pump clicks when it kicks on. you could unplug that and see if it goes away.

Why the hell would a thermostat opening cause a loss of power? I really hope that was a joke

nevertheless you cant hear a thermostat open, and it doesnt just open all of the sudden. The temp that it is set at is the temp it is fully open. before that it is just partially open.
