Weird CHECK GAUGES light

I've noticed this year that when I first start the car with cooler ambient temps (ie. morning or sitting for a while), with rpms 2500 and higher, the "Check Gauges" light will flicker on. It doesn't stay on, just flickers. I never really noticed it before this year, but unsure if it has allways done this. It's been a little cool lately, 40*-60*. Oil pressure seems to be about 75 psi when cold. Any ideas????

Dying battery mabey? My guages in my Jeep would do that when my battery was going out. Put a new one in, and haven't seen it since. Just a though I guess.

I don't think so. All info on the gauges look good when the light flickers. It almost like a warning to keep the revs down on a cold engine Works good for that!!! Still bothering me though.

Re: Weird CHECK GAUGES light

Well it may be a voltage issue. I payed a little closer attention to the volt gauge. It does drop down for a second that bounces back. It doesn't do it when its good and hot. The car always starts fine. I have always been chasing what I think to be low voltage output but have been told it was within spec. About 13.5 volts on the gauge and in pcm when cold, 13 or so with stage 1 fan, then 12.5 or so stage 2 fan idling in gear hot. I have covered my bases, and have just lived with it. I've changed the alt. (140 amp) 3 times, 2gauge battery cables, added additional grounds, same results. What are you guys running for voltage at various ranges?
