NO way! how do they justify as "significant" difference w/new Motor Mounts....come on now thats gotta be a joke....the only thing i think they could possibly help, (and thats iffy) is getting the power to the ground, maybe better torque response, but after the first 5 feet....thats if'fy at best

The weights are approximate. And every little bit adds to the equation. The original motor mounts tend to sag after about 60-70k miles. However, by the extensive list provided by 94 TA TT2S of items ranging large to minor, I thought it would be obvious not to just remove a few items and be done away with it. That's useless, to get the most out of your car in regards to weight reduction, the motor mounts are another option in the long list of items to be upgraded and "weight reduced." (Especially being in the front of the engine.) As far as significant, the engine itself sits slightly higher,(back to recommended specs) the mounts are lighter, and far stronger, and yes, the prime spot for a "feel" is of course off the launch. A significant upgrade all around. You want the engine bay as light as possible, but not losing any rigidity or strength is key. Less weight in the front is a cause for quicker e.t's whether it be .001 or .01, I've seen less gain with gears or other expensive mod's only ADDING to weight.

It all takes accountability when attempting weight reduction.

Just my .02

Are you serious? Maybe the "stand" type LS1 mounts might approach this kind of number, but I doubt even those weigh 60#. The LT1 mounts would need the density of uranium to weigh 60#

Are you sure you aren't talking about the entire K-member?
