Guys:

When your water pump goes does it leak a little oil first?

 

Oil leaking from your timing cover, maybe?

 

I've noticed oil for the past few days, then a hole heap of coolant this morning with a little again at the front of the puddle.

 

..my bearing in my waterpump drive shaft(inside waterpump) went out and was shot..i could see where it leaked on my opti..but never runied it..when your water pump leaks..it is the bearing that is the main cause..then the seal goes which you will see coolant and a little bit of oil leaking.

 

don't move the car, change the water pump..any driving could kill the opti.

 

When I replaced my water pump, after it went bad, it began to leak oil. I haven't fixed it yet but my dad and I got seals/o-rings for the splined water pump drive and for behind the opti, to see if that fixes it.

I've had no problem with my opti, and it has seen a lot of water/coolant/oil over it.
