Angry Water Pump Problems

I noticed today that my car was leaking antifreeze badly so I checked and the water bump was busted. I replaced the waterpump and seals (which was not an easy task, AT ALL) and put the new antifreeze and water in and let the car run. I look under the car and antifreeze and water is spewing out and my check engine soon light is on. What the hell is the problem? I'm thinking there is a hose I didn't close off properly or something. I have no idea. I'm pretty sure we closed all the clamps properly though. What's going on? Any ideas?

oh boy..ok so is it leaking from one of the hoses? Run the car carefully at a cold startup, keep close attention to temp guage and see where in heck the water is coming from. Have that hood up and have the front on jack stands. Look under the hood and then look under the car to see what's really going on. If the waterpump was installed correctly, it may be a busted heater core hose or radiator feed hose. The Heater hose breaks pretty easy if you have a high mileage car with original hoses. The pressure fitting in the heater core hose will break apart eventually and maybe it's coming apart. Make sure your hoses are not leaking on your Opti or else you are really going to hate your car! What i do is smell around each hose and put my hand near each hose to check for smells and vapor condesing on my hand. But then again I have a radiator pressure tester I put over the radiator resivoir so that helps alot.

It was spewing all over the place. I hope it didn't hit the opti. I will be pissed! I can't afford any more crap to break.
