Gasket cleaning...

So how would you guys suggest cleaning the gasket left-overs from my stock exhaust gaskets? I have cleaned a little off with some 400 grit sand paper with so so luck. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The stock exhaust gaskets are sandwiched metal. There shouldn't be anything to clean.

Straight edge razor blade scaper and NAPA gasket remover spray. You will only think it's clean until you try this. It even gets alot of the oil out of the pores in the metal.
