water keeps comeing out

Hey guys.

I first discovered had a radiator leak. So I put a new one. Then soon after I noticed water coming out the front of the motor. I figured it was coming out of the weap hole of the water pump. Put a new pump on. The thing still leaks. I cant see where it can be coming from. Its comeing from the front of the block on the pas. side. Thought maby I didnt put the gasget on right on the pump but it seems to be a little more to the side of the pump. Ohyeah. It leaks out with the car off. I put water in the radiator and it goes all out and leak off the motor somewhere making a mess. Could it be leaking from the head like that? Is there a soft plug behind that bracket holding all the pullys on?

Get under the car while it's running and find that leak. If it's leaking that much it can't be hard to locate.

did you put thread sealant on the waterpump bolts?....there is one one each side that goes into the water jacket...may be leaking there or it maybe the frost plug behind the accessory bracket....

There is a threaded coolant plug in the front of each head, too. Same holes as used by the steam pipe on the rear of each head. They are symetrical. Might be that.

Check the overflow hose from your radiator, to the radiator overflow cannister. I replaced my radiator about a year ago, and just a few days ago, I had this huge puddle of coolant, on the pass. side. Shop pressure tested for 45 min, and no loss of pressure. That hose had never been replaced on the car (13 year old hose), and was just worn out. Now, I'm good to go.

Well after further looking. Its not the head. The thing leaks out water as fast as I can put it in the with the water hose. I stop pouring and it just drains all out. So its low on the block. I can see a little water flow up next to the pump on the pas. side. I think this might be a pump thing. This happend with any of you guys? Bad pump leaking that bad?

Lots of coolant hoses in that area. Good idea to check them all.
