96 z28 checked opti and ignition and plugs, im Getting spark. No maf codes just solenoid a for trans which im aware of. Fuel pressure is between 40 and 45. Fuse box is olddddd under hood abs sensor is sporadic...wondering if pcm is no allowing injectors to fire possibly. It was running great last week stalled out at the light and now won't start. Strong crank though. Any suggestions?????

O ly for solenoid a in the trans

 

You had two problems.... solenoid in trans, and running rich, hard to start, stalling.

Did you find the cause of running rich, hard to start, stalling? That could be related to the "no start" problem you described above.

 

I've checked for spark at the plugs the coil and opti. Relays are good, im thinking possibly injectors. I'm getting 40 45 psi fuel pressure

 

Do you have 12 volts (key on) on the pink wire at each injector connector?

Do you have a noid light to verify the PCM is pulsing the injectors?

Did you find the source of the white smoke that was “pouring out” when trying to start? Where was it pouring out from?

If the fuel pressure holds at 40 PSI when the pump shuts off, and pressure doesn’t drop rapidly, that would rule out leaking injectors.

Is the “SECURITY” light on?

 

no security no che k gage. No dash lights come on. Checked coolant very clean, oil could use a change but not terrible trans fluid clean no sign of metal shavings. Holds pressure on fuel when attempting to start

 

I might be able to help you if you would please answer the questions. 12 volts at injectors, noid light to check PCM grounds, white smoke pouring out, fuel pressure drop???? The answers may point me in the right direction.

At this point, hopefully some else will pitch in.

 

When you checked plugs, was there evidence of fuel reaching them?

 

will check today and give an update i work full time. I will say i didn't have smoke before it stalled out and there's no smoke while trying to start it.. it own ly came out while i would keep the accel down to keep it running. There is no fuel pressure drop though and as soon as I check the pcm and injectors ill give an update
