wanting more power, can trans handle it?

I'm wanting to put a small cam, LT headers, and 1.6rr's on my 93 z28 that already has a CAI, exhaust and some suspension work.I read in this forum that the trans i have (m29) is only rated to handle 400lbs of torque. Would anyone happen to know if this set up would give me enough power to hurt my trans?

the car has apox.62,000 miles on it, will probably be getting a clutch not long after.

thanks, dan

Manual transmissions in f-bodies don't have torque convertors....
